Boxing Match Cinematic

A minute of film in Blender with nowhere to hide: nine cameras, one continuous take, and no cut to paper over a mistake.

A frame from the cinematic: a boxer standing in the ring, arms raised, with jets of flame going up behind him.
A frame from the take, the arena lit by the flame jets.

Overview

A one-minute cinematic built in Blender 4.5 and rendered with Cycles: a boxing match in a UIB-inspired arena, resolved as a single continuous take that chains nine cameras.

The brief was to exercise the whole pipeline the course teaches (modelling, animation, materials, lighting, particles, volumetrics, audio and interaction) inside one piece, and to do it as film rather than as a game. The answer was a single take: frame 1 to 2176 at 30 fps, 1920×1080, with nine cameras switched by timeline markers and not one cut to hide behind.

That constraint is what makes it hard. A cut lets you fix a bad transition in the edit; a continuous take means every camera hand-off, every animation blend and every light change has to work in the shot itself.
